YURI LEONG

ACT Reg No 2491
B Des, B Arch

Yuri studied design and architecture at the University of Sydney, graduating with the George McRae Prize in Construction and the finalist for the Partridge Prize for Structures. Before establishing YL Architecture, Yuri worked for Kieran McInerney Architect in Sydney where she was involved in all stages of design, documentation and construction for high-end houses. She also worked for May + Russell Architects where she gained significant experience working with varied sites, complex briefs with numerous stakeholders. She has been the design and project architect for a number of projects varying from community health centres, primary schools to an Introductory English Centre.

An all-rounded designer, Yuri looks at all aspects of a project as a whole – the architecture is considered with equal importance to the interiors, finishes, furniture and artwork, and how everything relates to its surrounding environment: especially in terms of light, texture and volume.
