2014 BCA Certifiers Mervyn Willougby-Thomas Renovation Award

This award was established in recognition of Mervyn Willoughby-Thomas for his commitment and dedication to the work of Architecture and small practices in the ACT. The purpose of this award, now in its eighth year, is to bring modest projects, such as alterations and additions, into the spotlight.

To be eligible, the project must fulfil the following criteria:

• The project must be in the spirit of a small project being in the range of 120 square meters in size or below $300,000 in cost.
• The project must be renovation work, including extension of an existing single/attached residential building.

Loft of Suburbia, a 15m² conversion of an unused roof space was awarded the 2014 BCA Certifiers Mervyn Willoughby-Thomas Renovation Award.
